Rick Breusch


Rick Breusch began serving as our Senior Pastor in November 2006 after serving in that same role on an interim basis since March 2006. Previously, he led as Pastor of the Sawmill Baptist Church in Powell, Ohio for 21 years. He has a B.A. from Southeastern College, a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Cheryl have three grown children, Tasha, Ian and Kelsey. Ian and his wife Jen have two children.

Aimee Worley


Aimee Worley is our Connections Director. A member since 1983, she joined our staff in November 2008. Aimee is our staff person who is focused on helping people in the church connect with God and each other and helping the church connect with people in the community so that they will connect with God and the church. In addition to cross-cultural life experiences, she holds a B.S. in Parks and Recreation Administration and a Master’s in Physical Education. She was previously Recreation Supervisor for Columbus Recreation and Parks and an elementary P.E. teacher.

Beth Ash


Beth Ash is our Children's and Congregational Care Director. She has been on staff since 2000 and served as the CE Chair for six years before joining the staff. Beth received her undergraduate degree in Education from University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Masters in Curriculum from National Lewis University, and graduate hours from Ashland University and other institutions. She has taught elementary children for 30 years. Beth and her husband Lew have three children and ten grandchildren.

Kari Lashley


Kari Lashley is our Church Administrator. She has been a member for over 40 years and joined the church's administrative staff in April 1992, then moved into the church administrator role in June 2013. Kari’s responsibilities include managing the facilities maintenance & improvement projects, oversee the use of the building and grounds, and supervise the office support staff. She and her husband Jeff have two grown children, Justin and Kristin, 3 grandchildren and a 4th on the way.

Aaron Joiner


Aaron Joiner, is our Youth Director. He has been a part of Karl Road Baptist Church since his middle school years. He graduated from Columbus State Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. He absolutely enjoys being around people and is a passionate person. His role as Youth Director is to lead, inspire, and equip youth and youth leaders for the work of the ministry. He is married Amanda Truax.

Karen Burkhart

  Karen Burkhart is our Worship Director. After serving in an interim role for eight months, Karen was hired for the permanent position in April, 2014. Karen graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1992 with a degree in Christian Studies and has since served the Body of Christ in a variety of settings, including churches and para-church organizations. Gifted with a strong voice and song-writing skills, music has always played an important role in Karen’s ministry. Since 2009, Karen has released two inspirational CDs and her songs have been heard on Christian television and radio around the country. Karen strives to help create worship services that encourage believers to engage their body, mind, and spirit in worship of the King of Kings. Karen understands that worshipping God on Sunday is only one aspect of the believer’s life of worship, but that God often meets us in special ways when we come together to lift our voices in praise and worship!

Todd Tenaglia


Todd Tenaglia began serving as our Director of Children’s Ministry in October 2017. His focus is on creating an environment where kids can connect with the Lord on a personal level and worship with their friends. Todd has a background in ministry and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Christian University in Leadership and Ministry. He also has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Theological Seminary; and is currently working on his Masters of Divinity Degree from Liberty. In addition to his work with the children of our church, Todd is working to become a Chaplain. Todd is married to Lori and they have a son named Joshua. Todd and Lori are also foster parents.

Support Staff

Marty Moore


Marty Moore joined our church's administrative staff in August 1992 and is responsible for producing the monthly newsletter and mailings to the congregation, keeping the church's database updated, and creating PowerPoint presentations as needed. She and her husband Larry have two grown children, Stephanie and Jim, and eight grandchildren.

Carole Reynolds


Carole Reynolds has been a member of our church for over 20 years, joining the church's administrative staff in July 1996. Carole’s main responsibilities are to the Worship Ministry, communicating between the Worship and Choir Directors and the office staff. She also serves on the kitchen committee and does the bookkeeping for the Women’s Connection Ministry. She and her husband Tom have five grown children, and three grandchildren.

Amy Rucker


Amy joined the staff of KRBC in 2015, and currently serves as Chancel Choir Director, and assists with children’s music ministries, praise team, and band. Amy’s love of church music began early in Dayton, Ohio, where her mother was a soloist, and the choir master was renowned composer, Gilbert Martin. College years furthered her love of music ministry, having been appointed Music Intern at King Avenue UMC. Amy has continued in music ministry her whole adult life, conducting and accompanying choirs, directing and playing in handbell choirs, singing, and playing french horn. With her husband, Rob, her choral performances have included the International Church Music Festival in Coventry, England; Bern Switzerland; and accompanying a concert in Moscow, Russia. Beyond the church, Amy runs her own music studio, is a National Teacher Trainer for Musikgarten, serves as President-Elect of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, and is choral accompanist at Whitehall-Yearling High School. Amy holds degrees in Piano Performance and Choral Conducting from The Ohio State University, and a Masters of Piano Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University, where she taught as adjunct faculty for six years. Amy and Rob have two children, Elise and Ben.
